Borax

Borax

Household Uses

Borax is a natural, eco-friendly alternative to harsh chemical cleaners. It freshens, deodorises, and disinfects without synthetic additives.

  • Laundry: Add one cup per load to soften and freshen fabrics.
  • Cleaning Spray: Mix 2 tsp Borax with 2 cups hot water in a spray bottle.
  • Kitchen & Bathroom: Use 1 cup Borax in the toilet overnight or a paste of 1 cup Borax and ¼ cup lemon juice for sink stains.
  • Insect Control: Sprinkle lightly along ant trails or on pet bedding to repel pests.
  • Mould Inhibitor: Apply a thick paste, leave overnight, then rinse.
  • Drain Cleaner: Pour ½ cup Borax and 2 cups boiling water into the drain, let sit 15 mins, then flush.

Boron in the Body

Borax provides boron — an essential trace mineral that supports bone health, hormone balance, and cell function. While oral supplementation is restricted in Australia, borax can be absorbed effectively through the skin via baths or foot soaks, similar to magnesium salts.

Research shows transdermal absorption offers similar results to naturally boron-rich mineral springs known for easing arthritis and joint pain.

Bones, Joints & Arthritis

Boron regulates calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus metabolism, influencing parathyroid activity and bone integrity. Deficiency contributes to osteoporosis, arthritis, and calcification of soft tissues. Supplementation has been linked to improved bone hardness and faster fracture recovery.

Borax and Candida

In healthy conditions, Candida albicans remains benign. When it overgrows, it forms biofilms and damages intestinal lining, leading to leaky gut. Borax has been shown to inhibit this transformation and biofilm formation, supporting internal balance and microbial health.

Borax and Fluoride Detox

Borax binds with fluoride and heavy metals, helping the body eliminate them through urine. Studies show borax can reverse skeletal fluorosis and reduce calcification of glands like the thyroid and pineal. While oral use is restricted, similar detox benefits are achieved with transdermal applications.

Calcium & Magnesium Regulation

Boron helps balance calcium and magnesium in tissues, preventing calcium buildup in soft tissue, nerves, and glands — a process linked to ageing and inflammation. Together with magnesium, boron helps redeposit calcium where it belongs: in bones and teeth.

Brain Function

Boron supports attention, coordination, memory, and cognitive clarity by aiding cell membrane communication and nerve transmission.

Gout & Joint Health

Boron may reduce uric acid buildup and inflammation associated with gout, easing pain and improving mobility.

Bath & Foot Soak Use

For a full-body soak, use 50–300g of Borax in a warm bath (approx. 100L of water). For a foot soak, use 15g per 5L of water. Bathe several times per week until relief is noticed. These concentrations mimic natural “miracle waters” high in boron content.

Note: Australian regulations prohibit internal use of borax. Topical and bath use provide safe, effective mineral absorption.

Testimonies

“In one day, the soreness in my knees vanished! My psoriasis also improved dramatically.” “He rubbed Borax on his feet for athlete’s foot — itching stopped instantly and never returned.” “After beginning Borax baths, my joint pain, fatigue, and fibromyalgia symptoms eased within days.”

Many users also report improved skin clarity, muscle relaxation, and increased energy when combined with magnesium baths.
