HOW YOU BREWING?
Let’s talk tea — herbal style.
Not the dusty supermarket kind. We mean intentional, medicinal brews. Here's how to get the most from your herbs
INFUSION (for leaves, flowers, soft herbs)
Think: Chamomile, Peppermint, Lemon Balm
Use 1–2 tsp dried herbs per cup
Pour over just-boiled water
Cover and steep 10–15 mins
Strain + sip while warm Pro tip: Covering traps the volatile oils (aka the magic stuff)
DECOCTION (for roots, barks, seeds, tougher bits)
Think: Licorice Root, Ginger, Cinnamon
Add herbs to a small pot
Cover with cold water
Bring to a gentle simmer
Simmer 15–30 mins, then strain This is the slow brew for the heavy lifters.
MACERATION (for mucilaginous or delicate herbs)
Think: Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm
Add herbs to cool or room-temp water
Let it sit, covered, for 4–12 hours (overnight is perfect)
Strain + sip slowly This is your go-to for soothing the gut, throat, and tissues.
STORAGE TIP:
Keep herbs in airtight jars, out of heat and light.
Fresh herbs = more potency = better results.
